The central tower of Ding Ling, at Shisan Ling or Thirteen Tombs, stands before us as our last stop on this all day tour just outside the city of Beijing. Also known as the Ming tombs, it is where 13 of the 16 Ming Empreors watch the rest of the world goes by.
